Dorothy "Dottie" Elizabeth Redman Donaldson, 88

Dorothy "Dottie" Donaldson went home on Monday, October 17, 2022.  Her family and friends celebrate the wonderful life she had here but know that the celebration with those that passed prior is glorious.

Dorothy was born September 22, 1934 in Owensboro, Kentucky to the late Muriel Fithian and Darwin Redman.  Her hand in marriage was given by Theordore Fithian to Jack Donaldson on April 10th, 1955, and they started their legacy. She is survived by her children and families: Lee Donaldson (and Ann) of Monroe City, Joyce Clute of Fowler, Jewell Page (and Bob) of Allen, TX, Paul Donaldson (and Kathie) of Kentland and Sam Donaldson (and Leslie) of Fowler.  There are 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. Also, a brother Rodney Fithian and sister Eleanor Seifers.

Preceded in death by her husband, Jackie Donaldson, her parents, Muriel and Theordore Fithian, Darwin Redman, two brothers, Donald Redman and Ted Fithian, an infant daughter, Eleanor Ruth Donaldson.

Dorothy had a passion for giving and creating. She was a member of the Raub United Methodist Church and active in the United Methodist Women. Numerous quilts were created and sewn with love for many members of the community the UMW supported. The Great Banquet was another passion of Dorothy's where she shared her love of cooking, baking, sewing and fellowship.

Friends may call from 10am - 1pm CST at the Raub United Methodist Church followed by services at 1pm CST Friday, October 21, 2022.  Interment will follow at the Fairlawn Cemetery of Kentland.  

Memorial donations can be made in her name to the George Ade Memorial Health Care Center, Raub United Methodist Women or the Jackie Lee Donaldson Scholarship through Benton County Community Foundation.
