Terrance A. “Terry” Philo, 64, of Monon, formerly of Winamac, passed away at 3:59 a.m., Sunday, February 5, 2023, at IU Arnett Hospital of Lafayette.   He had been battling an auto-immune disease for several years.

  Terry was born October 16, 1958, in Hammond, Indiana to the late Eugene C. and Delores (Ellison) Philo and was a 1977 graduate of North White High School in Monon.

  His marriage was to Jennifer Sue Dulin on February 23, 1980, in Monticello at the Nazarene Church; they would later divorce but still remain close to this day. 

  Terry worked for Braun Mobility in Winamac for nearly 30 years.  His work was his hobby, and he took great pride in being faithfully present at Braun.  In his younger days, Terry worked for Winamac Spring and HPA Trailer in Monon.

  Terry was an avid NASCAR Jimmy Johnson fan and also rooted for Tony Stewart and Dale Earnhardt Jr.  He loved American muscle cars and would often joke, “I’m going to take all my money out of the bank and go buy a Camaro”. 

  Above all, Terry loved spending time with his family.

  Surviving with his ex-wife Jennifer are their two sons, Terry J. Philo and John A. Philo (Crystal) both of Monon.  Also surviving are two brothers, Eugene A. Philo of West Lafayette and James L. Philo of Monticello and a special granddaughter, Analeigha.  Terry is also survived by a lifelong best friend, Dwayne Harrison of Monticello.

  Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 1 p.m. Friday, February 10, 2023, at Clapper Family Funeral Home of Monon.  Interment to follow in Bedford Cemetery of Monon. 

  Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association or American Kidney Fund.
