James B. "Jim" Harold, 75, of Monticello, Indiana, passed away at 3:32 p.m., Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at the Indiana University Health Arnett Hospital of Lafayette, Indiana.  

He was born on Sunday, April 15, 1947, in Kokomo, Indiana, to the late Eugene and Peggy June (Applegate) Harold. 

On February 7, 1970, in Kokomo, Indiana, he married Debby Joyce McBroom; she passed away on August 31, 1991.

Visitation will be from  12:00 (noon) to 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 6, 2023, at the Miller - Roscka Funeral Home of Monticello, Indiana. 

 

Celebration of Life Service will be at the Miller – Roscka Funeral Home of Monticello, Indiana, at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 6, 2023, with Pastor Dale Hart of the Ancient Landmark Baptist Church of Idaville, Indiana, officiating.   officiating.  

 

Burial with Full Military Rites by the Monticello Veterans Honor Guard of Monticello, Indiana, will be at the I.O.O.F. Riverview Cemetery in rural Monticello, Indiana.  

 

Memorials may be given to the Ancient Landmark Baptist Church of Idaville, Indiana, or to the Monticello Veterans Honor Guard of Monticello, Indiana.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home or can be mailed to the Miller - Roscka Funeral Home, 6368 E. US 24, Monticello, Indiana, 47960.  

Biographical Information:
   Jim had lived in the Monticello, Indiana, area since 1970, coming from the Kokomo, Indiana, area. He was a PROUD United States Navy Veteran and served during the Vietnam Era.  Jim had served on the USS Braine, USS Kristina, and the USS Neptune ships while in the military.  He had received an Associates Degree in computer science from Ivy Tech Community College of Kokomo, Indiana.  Jim worked at NCR in Kokomo, Indiana, working on digital equipment and worked on computer repair.  His dog, Baby, who was everything to Jim!!!
