Denise Marie (Denton) Carter, 51, of Lafayette, formerly of Monon, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 12, 2023 at IU Health Arnett Hospital of Lafayette.

She was born August 12, 1971 in Monticello to the late Dennis and Wanda (Morton) Denton. Denise attended North White High School.

Her marriage was to Bryan Carter on February 12, 2008 and he survives.

Denise enjoyed painting, coloring, and loved her pet cats over the years.

Surviving along with her husband Bryan are children, Jessica Denton, Justin (wife: Alyssa) Denton, Danielle Mendez, Derrick (wife: Darcee) Mendez, Joey Stiltz, Jade Stiltz, Bryan’ah Carter, and Brylee Carter. Denise is also survived by her 8 grandchildren, Kadyn, Jynson, Riyla, Blake, Embree, Journey, Judah, and Matteo.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Dennis and Wanda Denton.

A private family service will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Clapper Family Funeral Home of Monon.
