Glayvs "Jeannie" Garvin, 80, of Monticello, Indiana, passed away at 6:11 p.m., Thursday, March 23, 2023, at her home with her family by her side. 

She was born on Thursday, July 30, 1942, in Noblesville, Indiana, to the late Harold L. and Bessie (Austin) Shanklin.

On June 20, 1983,  at the Monticello Christian Church of Monticello, Indiana, she married Keith Garvin; he passed away on June 22, 2009.   
 
No Visitation or Services are Scheduled.  Everything is Private for the Family. 

 

Burial will be Private for the Family.

Biographical Information:
   Jeannie had in the Monticello, Indiana, most all of her life.  She grew up in the Wolcott, Indiana, area and was a 1961 graduate of Wolcott High School of Wolcott, Indiana.  Jeannie was a real estate agent most all of her life and had served as the president of the Board of Realtors of Monticello, Indiana. She loved and enjoyed crocheting and her three kitties, Abby, Jack, and Annie.  Jeannie, was proud to having her body donated to science for research.  Most of all, Jeannie loved, enjoyed and cherished all of her family.

Brian (wife Monica) Phelps of Monticello, Indiana, and

Amy D. Phelps of Monticello, Indiana; 

 

Eight (8) Grandchildren,

John Jr. "JP", Samantha, and Matthew "Matt" Newton,  and

Braden, and Gary Leonard;

 

Seven (7) Great Grandchildren,

Whitnee,

Addy,

Janie Jo,

Leyah,

Brady,

Annie, and

Parker;

 

Two (2) Siblings,

Michael "Mike" Shanklin on Wolcott, Indiana, and

Sue Ellen (husband Ron) McClure of Wolcott, Indiana;

Hollee Wilson of Lafayette, Indiana, 

Brad (wife Lisa) Bonnell of Burlington, Indiana, and 

Tina (husband Brett) Pinkerton of Marion, Indiana;
