Jimmie L. Barton, 84, of West Lafayette, Indiana, entered eternal life on Monday, May 1, 2023, at 8:55 a.m. at his residence in West Lafayette, Indiana.

    Jimmie was born in Rensselaer, Indiana on Sunday, December 11, 1938, to James R. "Jim" and Martha V. (Sommers) Barton. They preceded him in death.

    Jimmie was a graduate of the Roosevelt High School of Monticello, Indiana.  He had served in the U.S. Navy from 1957 to 1961.  Jimmie had worked and retired as a General Manager of Operations from IMI Concrete of Lafayette, Indiana.  He was an avid golfer and loved playing as often as he could.  Jimmie would meet up with his cousins and Family once-a-month in a lunch bunch, where they would take the time to catch up on each other's news. He will be missed, and his void will not go unnoticed.

   Jimmie is survived by his sister, Carla R. Overbeck of Monticello, Indiana; a Niece, Melissa Alexander of Indianapolis, Indiana; and a Nephew, Jon (wife Pam) Noe of Monticello, Indiana; several great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins; Special Family Friends, the Faust Family of Florida.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, James R. "Jim" & Martha V. (Sommers) Barton.

    No Visitation of Services are scheduled at this time, a Private Family Service is planned.

    Memorial donations can be given to the Riley's Children Hospital.  Envelopes are available at the funeral home, or can be mailed to 6368 E. US 24, Monticello, Indiana C/O Barton Family Memorial.
