Kellie M. Austin - Winstead, age 61 years of Francesville, Indiana died on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at Franciscan Health Hospital in Rensselaer, Indiana following an illness.  

She was born Saturday, November 11, 1961, in Tippecanoe County to Delmar N. "Neil" and Donna Marie (Haley) Austin.

Kellie was born and raised in Chalmers Indiana and was a 1980 graduate of Frontier High School of Chalmers, Indiana.  She went cosmetology school in Lafayette, Indiana.  Kellie spent most of her work career working for Polymer Science of Monticello, Indiana starting July 2, 2007.  She loved her animals and rescued several over the years.

Kellie is survived by her daughters, Lindsey Edmondson of Monticello, Indiana and Lacie Burnside of Dallas, Texas, four grandchildren, Lillyan, Alexander, Sydnie, and Landry; mother, Donna M. Austin of Monticello, Indiana, one brother Bradley (Lori) Austin of Monticello, Indiana, nephews, Tyler, Jace, Josh, Jordan, Jeremy, and some great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was proceeded in death one son, Cassidy Griffith, one brother Kevin Austin, husband, Jeff Winstead, and father Delmar N. "Neil" Austin.

A gathering of family and friends followed by a celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service at 6:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Monticello, Indiana (409 S. Beach Dr. Monticello, IN 47960) with Rev. Ian McMillan officiating. 

Private family burial will be done at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and the church, or mailed to 6368 E. US 24, Monticello, Indiana 47960 C/O Winstead Family Memorial.
