Gary Dale Williamson, 60, of Monticello, died unexpectedly at 10:35 a.m. on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, in the Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Gary was born on Monday, September 19, 1963, in Lafayette, Indiana to Paul I. Williamson and Learee (Baker) Williamson. His father preceded him in death. 

On Saturday, March 16, 2002, in Bowling Green, Kentucky, he married Michelle Smith. She survives.

Gary was a 1982 graduate of the Tri County High School of Wolcott, Indiana. He went on to join the United States Army and served as a reserve in the Indiana National Guard. Gary retired from Trace Diecast in Bowling Green, Kentucky in 2022. Gary was an avid UK fan and the 49ers fan. He truly enjoyed his lake house.

Gary is survived by his wife, Michelle Williamson of Monticello, Indiana, mother, Learee Williamson of Wolcott, Indiana, niece, Caressa Ruthenberg of Monticello, Indiana, nephews, Jason (wife Laura) Reel of Battleground, Indiana, and Jeremy (wife Hannah) Williamson of Rensselaer, Indiana, great nieces and nephews, Blake (wife Hannah) Williamson, Eliza Hope Jacoby, Jared Williamson, Cadence Keene, Conner Reel, Samuel Williamson, Logan Jacoby, Grace Reel,  Gavin Williamson, and great-great nephew, Rowan Mccoy.

Gary was preceded in death by his father, Paul I. Williamson, brother, Randy Williamson, mother-in-law, Jeanetta Conner, and both grandparents.

Gathering of family and friends will be from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 10, 2023, at the Miller - Roscka Funeral Home of Monticello, Indiana. 

A celebration of life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at the Miller - Roscka Funeral Home of Monticello, Indiana, with Pastor Chris Murphy officiating.

Burial will follow in the Hughes Cemetery of rural Monticello, Indiana, with Full Military Rites conducted by the Monticello Veteran Honor Guard.

In Lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the Family.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home, or can be mailed to 6368 E. US 24, Monticello, Indiana 47960 C/O Williamson Family.
