Erica Wheelock Borjas, 33, of Lafayette, IN passed away unexpectedly Thursday, November 23rd.

Erica was born April 25, 1990 in Rensselaer, Indiana to Jacqueline “Jackie” Wheelock and Stan Raney. She was a graduate of South Newton High School. Erica was a hard worker who spent many years working for Wabash National in Lafayette assembling the semi trailers that we all greatly depend on for everything in our lives. Erica had a big smile and an even bigger heart. She was a dog lover, a true friend to many, and a kind & gentle soul. Erica is very much loved by her extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, as well as her many friends, and will be deeply missed.

Surviving are her four siblings, twin sister Alicia Wheelock of Goodland, IN, brother Kyle Wheelock of Highland, IN, sister Morgan Wheelock of Valparaiso, IN, brother Craig Wheelock of Jacksonville, NC, and her maternal grandmother Mary Jo (Humston) Wheelock of Goodland, IN. Erica was preceded in death by her mother, Jackie Wheelock, as well as her paternal grandfather and father figure, Richard “Dick” Wheelock.

Family and friends are welcome to gather for Erica’s celebration of life at the Goodland Community Center (110 N. Benton St, Goodland, IN 47948) on Saturday, December 9th from 12-4pm CST. There will be food and beverages provided throughout the gathering.
