Jeffery W. Holder, 61, of West Lafayette, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, January 7, 2024 at 2:51 p.m. at his residence; he had been suffering from heart issues.

  Jeff was born March 3, 1962 in Lafayette, Indiana to the late Ralph C. and Mary L. (Briles) Holder.  He attended Tri-County High School.

  Jeff was devoted to his work at Hunter Properties where he took pride in maintaining all the units.  He enjoyed the interaction with his co-workers and time spent helping others.

  Jeff loved spending time with his son, Sam, and his family.  He enjoyed country music, old westerns and grilling out at home.  Jeff also enjoyed trips to Earl Park to watch the derby, tractor pulls and dirt track racing.

  Surviving is his son, Sam Holder of West Lafayette; a daughter, Sarah Holder of Logansport and his two grandchildren, Serenity and Calvin.  Also surviving is mom, Mary Holder of Fowler and his siblings, Kim Holder of Fowler, Lisa Green (husband: Chet) of Warsaw, OH, Mike Holder (wife: Mary) of Remington and Dwayne Holder of West Lafayette and a sister-in-law, Debbie Holder of Wolcott.  

  Preceding him in death with his father is a brother, Mark Holder and a nephew, Zachary Holder.

  Friends may call from 5 p.m. until the time of funeral service at 7 p.m. Thursday, January 11, 2024 at Stitz-Clapper Funeral Home of Remington; Pastor Paul Dyke to officiate.
