Robert “Bob” E. Meyers, 82, of Monon, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at IU White Memorial Hospital of Monticello after complications related to Covid. He was born October 17, 1941 in Knox, IN to the late James and Opal (Walker) Meyers. Bob was a 1958 graduate of Knox High School.

His marriage of 61 years was to the love of his life, Georgia “Evelyn” Back on July 20, 1962 in Eagle Creek Baptist Church of Knox; she survives.

Bob was a long-time member of the Monon United Methodist Church. He worked 18 years for RCA of Monticello as an inspector. Following his tenure at RCA, Bob would work 18 years at North White School Corporation as a custodian until his retirement. He enjoyed woodworking projects and sharing those handcrafted pieces with his family, loved classic cars including his 1954 Chevy, and in his younger years family camping trips.

Surviving along with his wife are their four children, Tammy (husband: Andy) Durham of Francesville, Jim (wife: Jackie) Meyers of Monon, Jeff (wife: Lisa) Meyers of Lafayette, and Steve (wife: Dani) Meyers of Lebanon. Bob was also blessed with 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death along with his parents is a brother, Don Meyers and granddaughter, Zara Meyers.

Friends may call from 10:00 AM (EST) until the time of Funeral Service 12:00 PM (EST) Monday, January 22, 2024 at Clapper Family Funeral Home of Monon. Pastor Russ Alley to officiate. Private Inurnment will be held at a later date in Bedford Cemetery of Monon.

In lieu of floral arrangements, memorial contributions may be directed in Bob’s name to Riley Hospital for Children.
