James S. Watkins, age 70, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at I U Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette, IN.  James was born on July 11, 1953 in Logansport, Indiana to Frederick "Jim" and Peggy (Crowe) Watkins.  He married Yvonne Phillips and she survives.

James was a graduate of Twin Lakes High School in Monticello, IN.  He attended college as well.  James was a heat/treat operator at Regal  Rexnord in Monticello and had been employed there for 38 years. 

James enjoyed living on the lake.  He worked very hard and loved his job.  

James is survived by his wife, Yvonne (Phillips) Watkins; step-daughter, Jennifer Everton (Jason), and grandson, Hunter.  He is also survived by his siblings, Cindy Greear (Ronnie) and Doug Watkins (Sandy).

He is preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Peggy Watkins and his sister, Linda Kelham.

No services are being held at this time.  Everything is private for the family.  Miller-Roscka is honored to be assisting the family with these arrangements.
