Frieda M. Beuerman, 87, of Kentland, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2024 at Creasy Springs Health Campus of Lafayette.

She was born May 1, 1936 in Morocco to the late Cecil and Marie (O’Reilly) Dawson. Frieda attended A.J. Kent High School, graduating as Valedictorian in the class of 1956.

Her marriage to Robert H. Beuerman was on May 9, 1964 in Kentland at the Trinity United Methodist Church. Robert preceded her in death on December 28, 2002.

Frieda had worked at the Kentland Bank, The Drackett Company of Kentland, and lastly as an administrative assistant for Edward J. Funk and Sons (Super Crost Hybrid Seed Company), assisting Don Funk over several years.

Frieda loved her many pet animals over the years. She enjoyed shopping and traveling, and made the best lemon pies!

She is survived by her children, Barbara Ann Voss of West Lafayette, Kathy Lynn (Kurt) Keller of Chalmers, Roy (Lisa) Beuerman of Monticello, and Brian K. (Teresa) Beuerman of LaBelle, FL. Siblings include Vivian Ferguson of Kentland, James (Marjorie) Dawson of Lafayette, and Sarah Snell of Morocco. Frieda is also survived by her 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death along with her husband and parents is a brother, Frank Dawson.

Friends may call from 10:00 AM (CST) until the time of Funeral Service at 11:00 AM (CST) Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Trinity United Methodist Church of Kentland. Interment will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery of Kentland. Pastor Mary Van Wijk will officiate.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Frieda to the Trinity United Methodist Church of Kentland or to the Newton County Animal Shelter of Morocco.
