Joyce A. Gano, 71, of Monticello, IN passed away Saturday, March 30, 2024.  She was born May 17, 1952 in Lafayette, IN  to the late Russell G. Gano and Phyllis J. (Karr) Gano.  

 

She attended beauty school after high school and became a cosmetologist.  Joyce worked with her dear friend, Nancy Downey, on restoring of Chapel Cemetery in Monon. She was the Monon Township Trustee.  Joyce was a member of the former Eagles Lodge in Monon #2788.  She was also a cancer survivor.  

 

Joyce is survived by one son, Ryan Morris (Ashley); one daughter, Riki Powell; grandchildren:  Ty Willoughby, Kade Willoughby, Seth Morris, Sarah Morris, Elizabeth Morris, Austin Meyer, and Evan Meyer; brother, Pete Gano (Ann); niece, Amanda Gano; nephew, James Gano; and family friend, Nancy Downey.

 

She is preceded in death by her parents;  and sister, Deborah Gano. 

 

 Friends may call on Saturday, April 6, 2024 from 4 p.m. until time of Memorial Service at 6 p.m. at Miller Roscka Funeral Home.  Pastor Wayne Kriemelmeyer officiating.  Memorial donations may be made to:  American Cancer Society or White County Food Pantry.  Miller Roscka Funeral Home is honored to be handling the arrangements.
