David "Digger Dave" L. Kyburz, 63, of Wolcott, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at IU Health Methodist Hospital of Indianapolis, surrounded by his family. He was born December 5, 1960 in Monticello to the Lloyd Kyburz and the late Patricia (Hegel) Kyburz. Dave was a 1979 graduate of Tri-County High school.

Dave farmed with his father for the majority of his life in White County, but his passion was running LDK Excavating for several years.

Dave loved spending time with family and friends. He always brought laughter to any setting with his sense of humor and just liked having a good time. He loved listening to all kinds of music, hunting, trapping, and cherished his pet dogs over the years. Dave in his younger years enjoyed skiing in Oregon where he lived for a short time. Dave also enjoyed spending time with friends at Crossroads of Reynolds. 

Surviving along with his father and siblings are his four children, Charis (Cole) Bell of Brookston, Shelaine Kyburz of Indianapolis, Shelby (Bryon) Geyer of Francesville, and Keaton Kyburz (significant other, Marina Bonwell) of West Lafayette. Siblings, Pam (Bruce) Furrer of Wolcott and Colleen (Jon) Jacoby of Rossville. Four grandchildren, Ayden, Nash, Averlee, Josie, and grand pups Seger, Berkeley and Chloe. 

He is preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Kyburz.

Friends may call from 4-7 PM (EDT) Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at Foster-Clapper Funeral Home of Wolcott. Funeral Service 10:30 AM (EDT) with an hour prior visitation Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at the Wolcott Apostolic Christian Church. Interment to follow in Wolcott Cemetery.
