Carole R. Stinson, 85 of Monon, passed away at 9:42 pm Thursday May 16,2024 at Monticello Healthcare Center.  She was born December 19,1938 in White County to the late Leslie and Irene Clerget Baker .  She graduated from Monon High School in 1956 and attended Ft. Wayne Business College.  Her marriage was  to Gerald A. Stinson, he survives.

Carole was a bookkeeper and office manager for North American Plant Breeders for 20 years and the librarian for the Chalmers Library following her retirement. She enjoyed time spent with her family, gardening  her rose garden, fishing and boating on the lake.

Surviving with her husband Gerald are four children, daughter Nancy Bolt of Crown Point, son Brad (Terry) Stinson of Battle Ground,   Annette ( Alan) Jeffries  of Brookston and son Gary (Karen) Stinson of Chalmers Indiana.   Grandchildren Jocelyn, Brandon, Jason, Todd, Alyssa, Ashley, Sara, Curtis, and Christy,  and 16 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister Shirley (Henry) Balcome of Lancaster, PA, and sister’s-in-law Diane Johnson and Mary Lou Stinson.  She was preceded in death by her brothers Earl ,Bill, Joe, Don and Jerry and brother-in-law Denny Stinson

Funeral Services will be held at 1pm Monday, May20 ,2024 at Miller-Roscka Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Murphy officiating.  Friends may call from noon until the time of services .   Burial will follow in Bedford Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Carole to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
