Barbara A. Gudeman, 98, of Wolcott, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 30, 2024 at Mulberry Health. She was born February 19, 1926 in Lafayette to the late Clarence and Viola (Harless) Reitemeier. Barbara was a 1944 graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High School.

Her marriage was to Milton E. Gudeman on April 5, 1947. Milton preceded her in death on December 16, 2004.

Barbara was a member of the Wolcott Card Club and Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church of West Lafayette. She enjoyed needlework, reading, and was a wonderful cook. Barbara cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving are her three children, Cathy James of Fishers, Trudy (Gary) Stone of West Lafayette, and Gary (Cindy) Gudeman of Kentland. Grandchildren, Jennifer (Justin) Heap, Kelly Gudeman, Eric Stone, Joseph (Julie) Gudeman, Mike (Andrea) James, and Austin Gudeman. Great-grandchildren, Abigail, Aiden, Jaxson, and Harry. Barbara is also survived by sister-in-law, Norene Reitemeier.

Preceding her in death along with her husband and parents are two brothers, Charlie and Perk Reitemeier; granddaughter, Valerie James; son-in-law, Frank James.

Friends may call from 11 AM (EST) until the time of Funeral Service 12:00 PM (EST) Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at Foster-Clapper Funeral Home of Wolcott. Interment to follow in Wolcott Cemetery.
