Tommy “Tom” David Wade, 92, of Lafayette passed away on Monday, September 23, 2024, at IU Health Arnett in Lafayette.

He was born on October 16, 1931, in Lafayette, Indiana to the late Joseph and Helen (Crosser) Wade.

Tom graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School in 1950 and also attended Purdue University.

He was in the United States Air Force from 1953 to 1956.

He married the love of his life, Mary Cleefman on April 21, 1962, at the St. James Lutheran Church in Reynolds, Indiana. She survives in Lafayette.

Tom was a member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church in West Lafayette, Indiana. He retired from Alcoa after 34 years, being part of the 25-year club. Tom enjoyed working with leather.

Along with his wife Mary, he is survived by a son, Tony Wade (wife, Pam) of Lafayette and three grandchildren, Jordan, Jessica and Anthony Wade.

Friends may call on Friday, September 27, 2024, from 1:00 pm until the time of services celebrating Tom’s life at 2:00 pm at the Fred L. Miller Memorial Chapel of the Roscka Roth & Clapper Funeral Home in Monticello.

 Interment will follow in St. James Lutheran Cemetery in Reynolds.

Memorials may be made the American Heart Association.
