Karolyn “June” Kerr, aged 80, of Lafayette, passed away surrounded by her family on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at her home. Born on April 4, 1944, in Eldorado, IL, she was the daughter of the late Logan and Murley (Woods) Uselton. June married the love of her life, Willard “Hank” Kerr, on September 25, 1961, and they shared 63 wonderful years together.

June worked for several years at Landis + Gyr of Lafayette as a machine operator. She had a passion for collecting angels and Ty Beanie Babies and enjoyed going to garage sales. Known affectionately as Meemaw “Meem” to many, June cherished the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Hank, their daughter Debby Kerr Summers of Lafayette, and grandchildren Katie Summers, Cassie Kerr, and Josh Barrett. Brother, Kelley (Mollie) Uselton. She also leaves behind her daughter-in-law Tammy Kerr, son-in-law Jim Barrett, special great-grandchildren Kenya and Gio, and her beloved dog, Peanut.

June was preceded in death by her parents, her children Cindy Kerr Kelly, William “Bill” Kerr, and Dale Kerr, her grandson Casey Summers, and numerous brothers and sisters.

Friends may call from 12:00 PM (EST) until the time of the Funeral Service at 1:00 PM (EST) on Monday, October 21, 2024, at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home of Brookston. Interment will follow in Brookston Cemetery.
