Phyllis Finnegan, aged 84, of Remington, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, October 18, 2024, at St. Anthony Rehabilitation and Nursing Center of Lafayette. Born on April 4, 1940, in Boone County, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Homer and Helen (Barnhart) Watson.

Phyllis was a 1958 graduate of Dover High School in Lebanon and continued her education at Marion County General Hospital Nursing School, graduating in 1961 with her Registered Nurse Certification. She began her career in 1962 as an Intensive Care Nurse in Indianapolis and later found her long-term professional home at Home Hospital of Lafayette, where she dedicated over 40 years as a Registered Nurse.

Phyllis was first married to Dan E. Conrad on May 24, 1962, until his passing on September 18, 1985. She later married Don Finnegan in November of 1990, who survives her. In her spare time, Phyllis enjoyed oil painting, sewing, visiting flea markets, collecting broaches, and attending tractor shows with her husband Don.

She is survived by her husband Don; daughters Teresa Conrad of Indianapolis and Aubrey Suppiger of Wisconsin; son Michael Conrad of Romney; siblings David Watson of Lebanon and Theda Watson of Speedway; grandchildren Daniel Conrad, Kylie (Ben) Beutler, Kinsey (Alex Feistel) Coble, and Grayson Suppiger; and great-granddaughter Avery Lou Feistel. She was predeceased by her first husband Dan, her parents, and siblings LeRoy Watson, Leonard Watson, Eugene Watson, Juanita Watson Cambell, and Ida Watson Banasudell.

Friends may call from 10 AM (EST) until the time of the Scripture Service at 11 AM (EST) on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at Stitz-Clapper Funeral Home of Remington, with Fr. Joshua Bennett of Sacred Heart Catholic Church officiating. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
