Roger L. Wilson, Sr.,70, of Monticello, Indiana, passed away peacefully at his residence on June 1, 2025.

Born on September 2, 1954, he was the beloved son of the late Robert M. Wilson and Lora (Bowden) Wilson, who survives him in Monticello.

Roger was a proud graduate of River Forrest High School, class of 1972, and served his country honorably as a United States Marine Corp Veteran.

His career spanned roles as a supervisor and concrete mason with Superior Construction and Hunter Corporation.

Roger was deeply involved in his community as a member and treasurer of the Monticello Church of Christ. He cherished his time spent fishing, a pastime he held dear.

He is survived by his loving mother, Lora, his son Roger Lyle Wilson, Jr. of Monticello, and his siblings Robert W. Wilson of Monticello, Larry C. Wilson of Lake Station, Indiana, and Helen L. Bull of Lake Station, Indiana. Roger was also a proud grandfather to Brandon Elijah Pelfrey, Dakota Jewell, Christopher Michael Wilson, and Alexander James Wilson.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert M. Wilson, and siblings, Diana Padlow, and Glenn A. Wilson.

In accordance with Roger's wishes, services will be held privately, with arrangements handled by Roscka Roth & Clapper Funeral Home of Monticello.
