On Friday, April 24, 2026, at 12:40 a.m., Gregory C Northcutt passed away after his long battle with cancer in Lafayette. But let’s go back to the beginning of Greg’s story to tell it properly. Greg was born on September 22,1967 to Curtiss (Northcutt) and Carol (Hahn) and he has one sister Lori (Rusk).

Greg graduated from McCutcheon High School in 1985. And in 1989 he married Kimberly (Northrup). Together they had two children Dane and Madalyne. In 2012 Greg remarried Brenda (Richardson). He was a semi-truck owner and operator for many years and self-proclaimed professional driver.

Greg loved to work on anything mechanical there was nothing he could not fix. He loved to share his vast knowledge with anyone who wanted to learn. He also enjoyed trivia at Rookies, boating, deep sea fishing and hunting deer with his son.

Surviving with his wife Brenda, is a daughter Madalyne, his mother Carol, sister Lori, nephew Cory (Overman), nieces Natasha (Rusk) and Mckenzie (Rusk) and two dogs Nani and Sadie. Greg will be missed by all who came in contact with him. His life, legacy and memories will be carried on by those who knew him.
Greg was preceded in death by son Dane and father, Curtiss.
