Clapper Family Funeral Home - Monon

Larry B. Redlin

( April 20, 1948 - April 24, 2026 )

Larry B. Redlin, 78, of Monon, passed away on April 24, 2026 at Advent Health of Winter Garden, Florida. He was born April 20, 1948 at home in Denham, Indiana to the late Harold and Verniece (May) Redlin.

Larry graduated from North Judson High School in 1966. He then attended Purdue University studying mathematics for three years while being a member of Farmhouse Fraternity. This fueled his lifelong love of all things Boilermaker.

Larry then joined Nipsco as a lineman. It was in 1970 he met a pretty lady at Bass Lake. As they say, the rest is history. Larry and Deb married and had two children, Heather and Jason. They moved to Monon in 1975, where they lived for the rest of their lives. He eventually became a journeyman electrician and gasman before retiring with 33 years of service at age 55. When Larry was 35, he saw a different retirement plan for his family. He began investing in rental properties eventually owning 17 units. He met many wonderful people through this business.

At 55 he retired and started to drive Deb crazy in earnest. They started traveling more, bought a home in Florida to visit their Grands more, spruced up their home in Monon. They lived the next twenty years in a way most of us dream of.

On April 24th, Larry joined his pretty lady, Deb, on their 55thwedding anniversary in heaven. They are united again hand in hand. Probably telling her that she won’t believe what the kids are doing!

Larry is survived by his daughter Heather Redlin and partner, Scott Larson of Orlando. His son, Jason Redlin, of Monon. His granddaughters Sierra Peffley and Tessa Peffley, of Orlando. His grandson Hunter Redlin of Savannah. His bonus grandsons Jacob and Daniel Larson of Orlando. Nieces, Holly and Maeve Flynn of Indianapolis.

He was met in heaven by Deb Redlin. His grandson, Peyton Burrough, and his brother Harold Redlin.

A visitation will be held from 11:00 AM (EST) until the time of Funeral Service 1:00 PM (EST) Saturday, May 9, 2026 at Clapper Family Funeral Home of Monon. Burial to follow in IOOF Riverview Cemetery of Monticello.
