Sharon Wiseman, 87, of Monticello, Indiana passed away on Saturday August 1, 2026, at 8:20 a.m. in the White Oak Health Campus of Monticello, Indiana with her family by her side.

Sharon was born on July 2, 1939 in Monticello, Indiana to the late Louis Welker and Marjorie (Scales) Welker. They both proceeded her in death.

On November 23,1958, at the Monticello Christian Church, she married Paul Wiseman. He died on Thursday, September on 7, 2023. Paul and Sharon were inseparable and their love for each other shone brightly.

Sharon was a 1957 graduate of Monticello High School and began her career with the local telephone company as an operator. In later years she worked at Indiana Beach preparing the gift shops for opening each season. She enjoyed working at The Emporium and My Little Corner.

It was a blessing that in retirement that they were able to spend 12 years wintering in Sebring, Florida where they had many adventures and made many new friends.

She was a devoted Mom and Grandma. She loved attending her Children’s and grandchildren’s church, sporting, music, and academic events.

Sharon was an active member of the Monticello Christian Church for many years serving as a deaconess. She also attended the Sebring Christian Church and Monticello Methodist Church in more recent years.

A heartfelt thank you to our support team at White Oaks for providing special and loving care to Sharon. Mom’s smiles were loved by staff and residents alike.

Sharon is survived by her daughters, Debbie (husband Jeff) Wert of Monticello, Indiana. Brenda (husband Rich) Gardner of Indianapolis, Indiana; son Tim (wife Pat) Wiseman of Huntsville, Alabama: granddaughter, Victoria Wiseman of Huntsville, Alabama; grandson, Jacob (wife Andrea Lobene) Wert of Tallahassee, Florida.

Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Marjorie (Scales) Welker; brothers Dick (Sue) Welker and Ron (Debbie) Welker; sisters Sandy Randall (Welker) and Linda Brown (Welker). 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at Roscka Roth & Clapper Funeral Home from 11:00 am until time of funeral services celebrating Sharon’s life at 1:00 pm. 

Interment will follow at Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Monticello. 

Memorial Donations may be made to the White County Food Pantry or the Monticello United Methodist Soup for the Soul. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
