Charles A. Wall

( November 19, 1957 - September 4, 2026 )

Charles A. “Charlie” Wall, 68, of Liberty, Kentucky (formerly of Lafayette), passed away at 2:45 p.m. Friday, September 4, 2026, at University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.

Charlie was born November 19, 1957 in Lafayette, Indiana to the late Walter and Jean Anne (Tull) Wall.

In May of 1984, he attended prom with Janet Souligne, a friend of his sister, and the rest they say is history.  The couple were married on January 26, 1985, at the Brookston United Methodist Church.

Charlie worked at Fairfield for 35 years as a machinist, retiring in 2019.  In retirement, he and Janet moved to Liberty, Kentucky where he enjoyed the outdoors, being in his yard and sitting on the porch waving at the neighbors.

Above all, Charlie loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Janet; his two daughters, Stephanie Souligne of Lafayette and Cassandra Grimes of Liberty, KY and three sisters, Tammy Perdue (Terry) of Battle Ground, Penny Robbins of Lafayette and Julie Payne (Curtis) also of Lafayette.  Of great pride to Charlie were his grandkids, Adilynn, Braedon, Benjamin, Kamryn and Walter.

Preceding him in death with his parents is a son, Scott Wall, who passed in January of 2024.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 12, 2026 at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home (101 West 4th St.  Brookston, IN); family member, Mark Perdue, to officiate.  Interment to follow in Pretty Prairie Cemetery, Battle Ground.
