Holly Jean Nissen, age 63, passed away at her home in Earl Park, Indiana, on October 5, 2026.

Holly was born on December 30, 1962, to Leslie and Marlene (Luecke) Nissen. She arrived just one day after her mother’s birthday—a special connection the family carried with them throughout the years.

Holly grew up in Beecher, Illinois, and spent most of her adult life in Peotone, Illinois. For the last 13 years of her life, she called Kentland and Earl Park, Indiana, home.

Holly found joy in making her home and surroundings beautiful. She loved planting annual flowers around her home and took pleasure in watching them bloom. She also had a special love for animals, particularly cats and dogs, and they held a cherished place in her heart.

Holly is survived by her life partner, Dale Sharp; her daughter, Alison (Klipp) Irmen, her son-in-law, Jake Irmen, and their children, Lincoln, Lee, Luke, Lily, and John Irmen; her son, Keith Klipp, and his wife, Trish (Ulmer) Klipp; her sister, Valerie (Nissen) Metz, and her husband, Bruce Metz; and her brother-in-law, John Werderits, widower of Holly’s sister, Wendy (Nissen) Werderits.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Marlene (Luecke) Nissen, and her sister, Wendy (Nissen) Werderits.

Holly will be deeply missed by her family and friends and remembered for the love she shared, the home she made, and the simple things that brought her happiness.
