Lesley's Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lesley Therese
Kapoohawalani Doerr, 66, who left us on October 25, 2024. She was born in
Monticello, on September 8, 1958, to the late Albert and Marilyn (DaSilva) Tebo.

Lesley was a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend, whose
life was a testament to her unwavering faith and dedication to helping others.

A graduate of North White High School in 1977, Lesley found her true calling in
healthcare. She became a Certified Surgical Technologist, dedicating 46 years of
her life to caring for patients and supporting her colleagues in the field. Her
compassion and commitment to service touched countless lives, and her presence
will be deeply missed in the healthcare community.

On October 17, 1986, Lesley married the love of her life, Robert Doerr, in
Lafayette. Together, two souls joined by an unbreakable bond, they built a
beautiful life and family. In retirement, she cherished those afternoon drives
through the countryside with Robert where the world slowed down and serenity
embraced them. Each winding road felt like a journey into their hearts, filling them
with gratitude for the simple joys of life. In those moments, surrounded by nature's
beauty, they found a deep sense of peace, and their laughter echoed in the air, a
celebration of love and togetherness.

Lesley’s faith in God was a guiding force in her life. She was a member of Blessed
Sacrament Church in West Lafayette, where she found joy and solace in her
spiritual community.

In addition to spending time with her family, Lesley found great joy in planting
flowers and gardening, which reflected her nurturing spirit. She loved to read and
learn as much as she could about American and Hawaiian history. She cherished
planning family vacations, spending time with her grandchildren, and sharing
laughter with friends. Her contagious laughter could light up any room.

Lesley is survived by her husband, Robert; and their children Zach Doerr of West
Lafayette, Chelsey Dowden (husband, Dwaine) of Wingate, and Jacob Doerr (wife,
Mattea) of Lafayette. Lesley was a proud grandmother to five grandchildren: Jenny
Joy, Logan Dwaine, Hannah Kylie, Elijah Robert, and Michael Lucas (expected in
November)

Lesley is also survived by her siblings, Mark Tebo of Idaville and Chris Tebo of
Monticello, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, Jon Tebo (wife, Hiliary) of
Idaville, Aaron Greene (wife, Danielle), Sarah McTigue, Nathan McTigue, Jared
McTigue and Caleb McTigue and three great-nieces and nephews, Gage Edward,
Grady Thomas and Gabi Marie. Her brother-in-law, Allen White (wife, Charlotte)
of Delphi, and sister-in-law, Elizabeth Shidler (husband, Eric) of Monticello, also
mourn her passing. Lesley's beloved miniature schnauzers, Lili and Ruger, were
her constant companions. Her legacy of love and compassion will live on in all
who knew her.
