John Thomas Veach Sr.

John Thomas Veach Sr., 79, of Chalmers, passed away at his residence on Saturday, December 6, 2025. He was born September 25, 1946 in Lafayette to the late Jospeh and Myrtle (Fitzpatrick) Veach. 

He married Theern Jenkinson on May 22, 1971 and she survives him. John worked as a service worker for 25 years at Purdue University until his retirement. He was an avid Purdue sports fan. 

Surviving along with his wife of 54 years are their children, John T. Veach Jr. of Chalmers and Lucy P. Borga (Shawn) of Lafayette. Grandchildren, Penni Balser, Colton Veach, SSgt. Borga, Quinton Veach, Levi Borga, Micha Borga, Naomi Veach, and two great-grandchildren, Wrenleigh and Weston. He is also survived by his sister, Vivian Cook (Terry). 

Preceding him in death along with his parents are three brothers and two sisters. 

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
