Anna L. Dortch, 84, of Monticello, passed away at 11:04 p.m., Saturday, December 24, 2022, at White Oak Healthcare in Monticello.

Anna was born February 3, 1938, in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Randolph and Ethel (Ishie) Lewis.  She attended Robert E. Lee High School in Jacksonville.

Her marriage of 44 years was to E. Marion Dortch on November 19, 1954, at her aunt's home in Jacksonville.  He preceded her in death on January 6, 1999.

Early on, Anna and Marion moved to Winter Haven, FL, where she was involved in the Winter Haven Women’s Club performing service projects for the community.  In 1971, the couple moved to West Lafayette, IN where they would raise their family.  Later, they moved to Bloomington, IL where Marion worked for State Farm.  In retirement, they lived in the Dominican Republic for a year before finally settling back in Naples, FL.

Anna loved gardening, raising her vegetables and flowers anywhere she could.  Above all, she cherished spending time with her grandchildren; they were the joy of her life.

Surviving is a daughter, Deborah A. Blake (husband: Roger) of West Lafayette; a son, David B. Dortch (wife: Connie) of Glen Rock, PA; her grandchildren, Jessica Ericson (husband: Tristan), Joshua Dortch (wife: Danielle), Alexis Sowder (husband: Matt), Ryan Blake (wife: Emily), Jacob Dortch (wife: Taylor) and Joel Dortch (wife: Allison) and her 10 great-grandchildren.  Also surviving are two sisters, Edith McWilliams and Alexi Libnoch.

Preceding her in death with her parents and husband is a brother, Robbie Lewis.
