Obituary
Ashley L. Summers, 35, of Monticello, Indiana, died unexpectedly on Thursday, July 6, 2023, at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette, IN.
Ashley was born on Wednesday, August 26, 1987, in Lafayette to Darryl Miller and Patty (Bell) Miller.
On Saturday, August 11, 2012, at Buffalo Christian Church, she married Cody Summers.
Ashley was born and raised in Idaville, graduated from Twin Lakes HS in 2006 and attended Ivy Tech. Ashley owned and operated Country Kids Daycare for 9 years and most recently worked for Monticello Christian Church Daycare. Ashley was an avid softball player and coached her kids softball teams. Ashley loved her time on the lake and spending time with her family, and friends. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and family was her everything. Her family is thankful that she was able to continue her love through organ donation with Indiana Donor Network, giving the gift of life to many others.
Ashley is survived by her husband Cody Summers & her beloved daughters, Brooklyn & Brynlee, parents, Darryl & Patty Miller of Monticello, sister Holly (Adam) Howe of Idaville, brothers, DJ (Krista) Miller of Chalmers, Devon G. (Linda) Miller of Iowa, mother and father-in-law, Rhonda and Scott Summers of Romney, sisters-in-law, Alissa (Anthony) Klinker of Lafayette, Kallie (Brady) Douglas, all of Lafayette, nieces & nephews, Austin & Haylee Howe, Landen & Piper Miller, Adalee & Cole Miller, Chloe & Ross Anderson, Kamryn Klinker, Navey Douglas, grandparents-in-law, Ron & Theresa Burke, Sharon Summers, several aunts, uncles, cousins & friends.
She was preceded in death by her, maternal grandparents, Henry and Leva Bell, paternal grandparents, Vernon and Joyce Miller, grandfather-in-law, Michael E. Summers.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 12, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Calvary Temple Church, 1218 West Broadway, Monticello, Indiana.
A Celebration of Life be at 3:00p.m. on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at Calvary Temple Church, Monticello, with Pastor Charlie Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Riverview Cemetery, Monticello.
Memorial donations will be used for Brooklyn and Brynlee. Envelopes will be available at Calvary Temple Church or can be mailed to 6368 E. US 24, Monticello, Indiana 47960, C/O Summers Family.
