Barbara Jean Fout

Barbara Jean Fout, 86, of Remington, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at Rensselaer Care Center. She was born on February 28, 1938 in London, Ohio to the late Herbert and Florence (Johnson) Donohoe. 

Her marriage was to the late Rodney Fout Sr; he preceded her in death on January 19, 2002. 

Barbara was a faithful member of Faith Christian Tabernacle of Rensselaer. She loved going to garage sales and finding great deals. Most of all, Barbara cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

She is survived by her five children, Bruce Johnson of Florida, Russell (Sonya) Johnson of Remington, Rodney Fout of Remington, Mark (Tina) Fout of Connersville, and April Kendall of Remington. Grandchildren, Rodney (Kate) Robert Fout III, Michael (Kaitlyn) Fout, Joshua (Samantha) Fout, Marcy (Tommy) Yawn, Vernon (Tasha) Budde, Autumn (Walter) Miles, Lially (Zach) Jeffers, and Anthony Kendall. Great-grandchildren, Lilly, Piper, Marley, Duke, Alana, Anna, little Thomas, Austin, Bryce, Lenny, Chole, Dylan, Leslie, Cody, Jesse, and Dusty.

Preceding her in death along with her husband and parents, is a grandson, Jess Hackney; two brothers and one sister. 

Friends may call from 4:00 PM (EST) until the time of Funeral Service 6:00 PM (EST) Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at Stitz-Clapper Funeral Home of Remington. Dr. Jim Blanchard of Faith Christian Tabernacle to officiate. Private burial will be held in Somerford Township Cemetery of Ohio.
