She was born March 12, 1935, in Decota, West Virginia to the late John Thomas and Lou Vina (Grounds) Likens. Betty was a 1953 graduate of Trap Hill High School.
Her marriage of 63 years was to LeRoy Pardue on June 19, 1955, in Nashville, Indiana; he preceded her in death on July 16, 2018.
Betty worked for Monticello Assisted Living and Healthcare for 11 years, retiring in 1994. Prior to that she and LeRoy both worked for RCA in Monticello; Betty for 17 years. When she was younger, Betty worked as a waitress at the Shamrock in Reynolds.
Betty enjoyed gardening and canning, traveling with LeRoy and camping. She loved visiting and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Betty truly loved taking care of others, especially children. As a young girl, Betty and family would sing and record gospel music, she carried that love for singing throughout her life. Pardue (wife; Tammy) of Morrison, TN and Elizabeth Meisner (husband: Bruce) of Wolcott; and her siblings, Charlene Pierle (husband: Jerry), Marlanda Roach and Margaret Henderson.
