Beverly Jo Berkshire

Beverly Jo Berkshire, 88, of Carroll County, died at 4:00 AM on June 28, 2024, at her home surrounded by family at her residence. Beverly was born on July 16, 1935, in Carroll County, Indiana. 

She is the youngest daughter to the late James and Mary (Sanders) McLeland. Beverly graduated from Camden high school in 1953 and on September 13, 1953, in Rockfield, IN she married Keith Berkshire who is preceded in death on March 16, 2019. 

Beverly was a devoted member of the Church of Brethren in Burnettsville, IN. Beverly was self-employed as an upholsterer. She took pride in upholstering furniture for her clients and had run her business inside of her home. Beverly enjoyed quilting and being on her sewing machine any chance she could. She also enjoyed making a variety of candies during the holiday season for her family and friends. Beverly enjoyed spending time with all her grandchildren. 

Beverly was an avid Chicago Cubs fan who never missed a game on the television. She also enjoyed going to watch her great grandson play baseball. Surviving are two daughters, Barbara Ellen (Walter) Landis of Lake Cicott, IN, Gail Lynn (Bryan) Whitaker of Lafayette, IN. Brother, Richard McLeland; six grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchildren.

 Preceded in death by her son, Gary Berkshire, two sisters, Betty Swanson and Ruth Beck. 

Funeral services for Beverly will be held at 1:00 PM (EDT) on Monday, July 1, 2024 at the Burnettsville Church of the brethren, 100 S Main St, Burnettsville, IN 47926. Burial will follow in Davis Cemetery, Burnettsville. 

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Monday, July 1, 2024, also at the church. 

In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to the Burnettsville Church of the brethren.
