Carl's Obituary
Carl L. Moore, 77, of Wolcott, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette. Born on July 1, 1948, in Rensselaer to the late Charles and Audrey (Hacker) Moore, Carl attended Wolcott High School. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1967 until his honorable discharge in 1970.
Carl married the love of his life, Amy Loughry, on May 13, 2004, and she survives him. He worked for many years with Oberlander and Sons Construction, installing tile drainage. A long-time member of the Rensselaer VFW, Carl enjoyed working on family genealogy, HAM Radio, and collecting firearms.
He is survived by his wife, Amy, his children, Kama (Coy) Patton of Lafayette and Lee (Kelly) Moore of Remington, and his sister, Bev (George) Collins of West Bend, WI. Carl is also survived by his 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service with military honors will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 2:00 PM (EST) at Wolcott Cemetery. Family and friends are encouraged to attend in casual attire.
