Carol's Obituary

Carol Ward Farrell, 63, of West Lafayette, passed away at 9:10 a.m. Monday, October 13, 2025, at her residence.

Carol was born October 26, 1961, in Champaign, Illinois to the late Don and Martha (Walsh) Ward.  Carol was a 1979 graduate of Harrison High School and went on to attend Ball State University.

Carol worked at Purdue University as a sign maker and painter for over 40 years.  In her free time, she enjoyed spending time decorating for the holidays, cooking four course family meals and loving on her grandchildren.  She also enjoyed rooting for the Chicago Cubs, reading mystery novels and watching Young and the Restless and Bold and Beautiful.

Carol had a tough but caring personality and was very understanding of others.  She had a witty side that often came out during scrabble, dominoes or other board games.  She also enjoyed spoiling her beagle, Roxy.  Carol had a huge, compassionate heart for all animals.

Surviving is her best friend and companion, Timothy J. Hendrickson and her two children, Kelly Farrell (Bryce) of West Lafayette and Mason Farrell (Madison) of Idaville; a brother, Tom Ward (Diane) of Auburn, IN and a sister, Joan Land (Bert) of Hope, IN.  Carol treasured time with her two grandchildren, Sarah and Miles.  Also surviving are many special nieces and nephews.
