Chester's Obituary
Chester R. Hufford, 65, of Monticello, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family Friday, May 17, 2024 at his home. He was born September 30, 1958 in Monticello to Doris (Longshore) Joslyn and the late Chester Hufford.
He was a graduate of Twin Lakes High School and proudly served 10 years in the National Guard.
His marriage of 41 years was to the love of his life, Margaret Dubuque on May 24, 1983.
Chester was a farmer and drove a semi for nearly 20 years. Most recently he had worked for Wallace Pork. Chester enjoyed fishing, hunting, and loved relaxing in the garage looking over the countryside. Most of all, he cherished time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Surviving along with his wife and mother are three children, J.J. Rush (Karen) of Monticello, Joey Bolinger of Tennessee, Tammy Rush (Jeff) of Kentucky, and Missy Rush (Jef) of Logansport. Sister, Theresa Hufford Rogers of Michigan. Grandchildren, Drake, Dakota (Josh), Emma (Braxton), Seth, Arial, and Lane. Great-grandchildren, Willow, Mylah, Evie, Stella, Olivia, and Eili. Chester is also survived by his cat – “Puss” and dog – “Dog”.
He is preceded in death by his father.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
