Born on October 12, 1947, in Watseka, IL, she was the beloved daughter of the late Duane and Margaret (Stallard) Light. Connie was a proud graduate of Donovan High School, class of 1965, and went on to earn her bachelor's degree in elementary education from Illinois State in 1969.

She was an active member of the Trinity United Methodist Church of Kentland and the Newton County Community Band. Connie had a love for music, particularly playing the trumpet, and enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren's sporting events, dancing, and Hallmark movies. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.

Connie is survived by her sons, Doug (Toni) Durham of Coal City, IL, and Blaine Durham of Kentland; her sister, Darlene Hill of Sheldon, IL; and her cherished grandchildren, Natalie, Drew, and Brock. She was preceded in death by her husband, Curt, her parents, and her brothers-in-law, Richard Hill and Jim Durham.
