Dale K. Tyler
Dale K. Tyler passed away peacefully on wings of Angels on January 30, 2021, at BeeHive Homes of Lafayette.
Dale was born on October 15, 1947 in Rensselaer, IN to the late Donald and Ada Mae (Sutter) Tyler of Remington. Dale graduated from Remington High School in 1965 and went on to graduate from Purdue University in Aeronautical Engineering in 1970. He spent a year working for Pratt &Whitney Aircraft in West Palm Beach, FL before returning to Remington to marry his wife of almost 50 years, Marcella Wasner on March 6, 1971.
He worked for FBI Buildings for 38 years, mostly in sales. He thoroughly loved his job and meeting new customers along the way-and never forgot them. After that, he worked with his best friend, Ron Clark, owner of Clark’s Cutting Edge, mowing and caring for lawns until the effects of frontotemporal dementia became too great. They enjoyed the time they spent together.
He was a Cooperative Weather Observer for the National Weather Service for 20 years. He shared his love and knowledge of aerospace and weather with his kids.
Dale loved going on field trips with Kerry and Krystal while they were in school, along with band trips and contests. He also enjoyed spending time with his extended family and friends.
Dale was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church in Remington.
Dale is survived by his wife, Marcella; sons, Kerry (Tamera) Tyler of Arrington, TN, and daughter, Dr. Krystal Tyler of Fairfax, VA; sister, Carol Roberts (companion, Dale Wilson); brothers, Gene (Mary) Tyler and Albert (Sharon) Tyler, both of Remington; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Ada Mae Tyler; brother Charles; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Art and Norma Wasner.
A private family graveside will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at the Remington Apostolic Christian Cemetery.
