David Anton Sr.

David Anton Sr, known as Dave, 68; passed away on November 14, 2025, peacefully at home and was surrounded by family. He had a long battle with prostate cancer, diagnosed late at stage 4, which ultimately lead to his death but didn't stop him from living fully and memorably. 

He lived his life as a family-oriented Dad and Grandpa. He loved his family and would spend his time going from one of the grandkids sporting events to the other. When he wasn't cheering on the grandkids, he enjoyed spending time playing cards with his close friends and family. He loved the outdoors and would spend time in the summer camping or fishing and would spend time in the winter hunting. He had a very contagious laugh and was a fun guy to be around. 

He met his wife, Margaret, in the early 80's through friends of family which developed into their lifelong romance. They married in May of 1987. They both resided in Remington, IN. Everyone always would say they were two peas in a pod; bickered like an ole married couple but always were there for each other. 

Surviving is his wife, Margaret Anton; children John (Vicky) Luttrell of Rensselaer, IN and DJ (Shelly) Anton of Oxford, IN; his grandchildren Aubrey & Emily Luttrell and Archer & Maddie Anton; his two sisters Sandy (Dick) Lucas and Sharon Anton; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death are his parents Herman and Irene Anton; his two brothers Wayne and Brian Anton. 

Family and friends will be joining together for a Celebration of Life at the Brook Community Center on November 22, 2025, at 2 CST.
