David's Obituary
David Lee Cantrell Sr. passed away on October 7, 2022 at the age of 56, in Remington, Indiana.
His battle with medical issues in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile.. Despite the pain and difficulties, Dave came out a hero and stayed strong until the end.
He was born to Walter and Elaine Cantrell in Alpena, Michigan, on October 1, 1966.
He was a great man, with a larger than life attitude. He loved sitting back strumming his guitar and singing. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He was always there, with an ear to listen, for all his friends. His smile and laugh will be missed by many.
David is survived by his children, Ashlee Hafner, Ashley Neely, Jacob Cantrell, Margot Gildersleeve and Cody Cantrell, his stepsons Neil Scott, Christopher Wittlock and Zachery Hilton. He was a grandpa to Raelyn Scott, Hunter Wittlock, Zoey Wittlock, Dylan, and expecting the arrival of another granddaughter next month. His beautiful Mother, Elaine Cantrell and his two brothers, Bob (Rachel) Cantrell and James (Donna) Cantrell. HIs Nephews Tyler and Xavier Cantrell and his nieces Claire and Madison Cantrell. His best friends, Larry Colee Jr., and Christine Hilton.
He is preceded in death by his son David Cantrell Jr and his dad, Walter Cantrell.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
