David Lee Parr, 75, of Battle Ground, passed away surrounded by loved ones at his home on Wednesday, March 16, 2022. David had been battling stomach cancer.
He was born December 27, 1946 in Lafayette to the late Donald E. and Marjorie L. (Carbaugh) Parr. David was a 1965 graduate of Brookston High School, the last Bomber year.
His marriage of 38 years was to Catharine L. Webb on March 8, 1984 in Frankfort, IN; she survives.
David was a long time member of the Brookston Federated Church. He spent 40 years at Home Hospital with a career in the IT Department. David would also work for Alverno, part of Franciscan Health for 3 years.
He was an avid fisherman, he enjoyed competition league pool in Lafayette and Delphi. David was a good friend to many and will be greatly missed.
Surviving along with his wife Catharine, are their three girls, Rhonda (Rick) Keen of Delphi, Sandra Parr of Lafayette, Brittany Lovejoy (Chris Hall) of Indianapolis. Two brothers, Robert A. Parr of Minneapolis, MN and Alan L. (Theresa) Parr of West Lafayette. Grandchildren, Matthew R. (Patrick) Keen, Casey Urick, and Arryn Haynes. David is also survived by his great-grandson, Hunter Urick.
Preceding him in death along with his parents is a granddaughter, Jessica Nichole Keen.
Friends may call from 4-8 PM (EST) Monday, March 21, 2022 at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home of Brookston. Funeral Service 10:00 AM (EST) Tuesday, March 22, 2022 also at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home. Good friend and Pastor, Don Roberts to officiate. Interment to follow in Brookston IOOF Cemetery.
