Debral J. Batchelor

Debral J. (Witt) Batchelor, 68, of Wolcott, passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Franciscan Health Hospital of Indianapolis. She was born November 8, 1952 in Painesville, OH to the late John and Doris (Clayman) Witt. Debral attended Delphi school system and was a graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High School.

Her marriage was to Melvin Batchelor on August 14, 2004 in Nashville, IN; he survives.

Debral was employed at Home Hospital of Lafayette as a rehab technician until her retirement in 2004. She enjoyed reading, anything Amish, crocheting, and writing.

Surviving along with her husband, Melvin are her children, Shane (Lindsay) Risley of Wisconsin and Sunnie (Eric) Clark of Wolcott. Grandchildren, Derek (fiancé: Kaila) Clark and Kyle (fiancé: Maddie) Clark. Siblings, Kathie (David) Houser, Carl (Sue) Witt, and Jack (Sharon) Witt. Step-children, Bill (Lori) Batchelor of Lake Village, Christie (Wade) Schultz of Rensselaer, and Stephanie Arvin of Wolcott. Step-grandchildren, Ashton, Wyatt, Ty, Tanner, Lauren, Matt, Derek, Kendall, and 4 step-great-grandchildren. Debral is also survived by nieces and nephew, Kelly, Jodie, Misty, and Troy.

Preceding her in death along with her father and mother is a step-great-grandson, Brock.

No public funeral services are scheduled at this time. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
