Donna Mae Sweet, 60, of Kentland, passed away on November 2, 2021 at IU University Hospital of Indianapolis. Donna had been battling pancreatic cancer. She was born June 25, 1961 in Hammond, IN to Richard Deckard and Joan C. Deckard. Donna was a 1979 graduate of Gavit Jr. Sr. High School.
Her marriage was to David W. Sweet on March 4, 1978 in Munster, IN at Church of God. He survives.
Donna was a hostess at the Iron Skillet of Remington, cashier at Casey’s in Goodland, and worked at the Dollar General in Fowler. She enjoyed playing Bingo and loved camping.
Surviving with her husband is family, Jennifer Sweet, April Sweet, Amber Sweet, Joshua Sweet, Christopher Sweet, and Candice Sweet. Several grandchildren, two uncles, and multiple nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
Preceding her in death along with her parents and grandparents is a sister, Kathy Deckard.
A private family service will be held on Monday, November 8, 2021 at Stitz-Clapper Funeral Home of Kentland.
