Dorothy's Obituary
Dorothy Adelena Kay, 90, of Bessemer, Alabama, passed away on February 9, 2023.
She was born February 29, 1932 in Albion, IN to the late Harry Oscar Savoie and Rachel Nancy (Coats) Savoie. Dorothy was a graduate of Albion High School.
Her marriage of 58 years was to Jim D. Kay. He preceded her in death on January 19, 2011.
Dorothy had a sincere faith in the Lord and was active in multiple churches. She was active in the Lions club. She had a kind gentle spirit and loved spending time with her family and her cats. She enjoyed traveling, sewing for others and charities, puzzles, reading, playing Yahtzee and watching the game show network. She especially enjoyed those Saturday football games---Roll Tide!
Dorothy is survived by her children, Steve (wife: Dot) Kay of Thomson, GA, Bill (wife: Susan) Kay of North Augusta, SC, Michael (wife: Paige) Kay of North Carolina, Judy (husband: Mike) Pair of Bessemer, AL, and Joe (wife: Linda) Kay of Noblesville, IN. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death along with her husband and parents are brothers Max Savoie, Kenneth Savoie, and sister Betty Bloom.
Friends may call from 10 AM (CST) until the time of Funeral Service 11 AM (CST) Saturday, February 18, 2023 at the Morocco United Methodist Church (203 South Clay St. Morocco, IN 47963). Pastor Susan Martin to officiate. Interment to follow in Morocco Cemetery.
