Elie's Obituary
Elie Alexander Rogers, 10, of Monon, passed away unexpectedly on January 1, 2024 at White Memorial Hospital of Monticello.
Elie was born on December 24, 2013 in Monticello to Alexander J.R. Rogers and Leeanne Cole. He attended North White Elementary School where he was in 4th grade. Elie loved anything to do outdoors enjoying nature, especially fishing. He also enjoyed camping with family and loved playing soccer with his friends. Elie had a giving heart, and tremendous personality. He will be deeply missed by his family.
He is survived by his parents, Alex Rogers of Brookston and Leeanne Cole of Monon; Maternal grandparents, Rich (Rita) Miller of Monon; paternal grandmother, Julie (Matt) Prince of Monticello and paternal grandfather, Robert Rogers of Reynolds. Paternal great-grandparents, Rita Harris, John (Janet) Harris, and Robert Rogers. Aunts and uncle, CJ (Addison) Cole, Patricia (Josh) DeBoard, and Brittany Rogers. Cousins, Kade DeBoard, Kyzen DeBoard, Mason DeBoard, Payslee DeBoard, and Addlynn Antonilli.
Elie is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Connie Estep; paternal grandmother, Judy Rogers; and maternal great-grandparents, Ramey Bailey and Vainey Grigsby.
Friends may call from 11 AM (EST) until the time of Funeral Service 3 PM (EST) Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Clapper Family Funeral Home of Monon (half mile east of North White High School). Pastor Todd Masters to officiate.
Memorial contributions may be made in Elie’s name to Riley Hospital for Children or to the family to offset funeral expenses.
