Emily's Obituary
Emily L. Robbins, 89, of Brookston, passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Mulberry Health of Mulberry, IN. She was born June 20, 1933 in Chicago, IL to the late Anthony and Emily (Miller) Pavell. Emily was a 1951 graduate of Monticello High School.
Her marriage was to Charles E. Robbins on August 6, 1950 in Peru, IN. Charles preceded her in death on January 8, 2001.
Emily and Charles spent most of their life in the Brookston area. She was a long-time member of the Brookston Federated Church. She enjoyed China painting, reading, and loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, David G. Robbins (wife: Trish) of Sheridan, IN, Sharon Robbins of Lafayette, IN, and Carol Ruemler (husband: Phil) of Brookston, IN. Grandchildren, Scott A. Robbins of Norwood, MA, Tony Robbins (wife: Francy) of Verona, Italy, Lisa Robbins of West Lafayette, IN, Sarah Griswold (husband: Ryan) of Brookston, IN, Jera Pio (husband: Chad) of Peru, IN, Alisha Uerkwitz of Brookston, IN, Krista Ruemler (wife: Rachel) of Roseville, MI, and Shawn Ruemler (wife: Jackie) of Ledyard, CT. Emily is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death along with her parents and husband are siblings, Tony Pavell and Nina Sunday; daughter, Brenda Louise Robbins and grandson, Joe Robbins.
Friends may call from 11 AM (EST) until the time of Funeral Service 1 PM (EST) Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home of Brookston. Rev. Dr. Lelan McReynolds to officiate. Interment to follow in Brookston IOOF Cemetery.
In lieu of floral arrangements, memorial contributions may be made in Emily’s name to the Brookston Federated Church.
