Eric Thomas O'Farrell

August 16, 1986 - September 21, 2023

Eric Thomas O’Farrell, 37, of Delphi, Indiana, died on Thursday, September 21, 2023, unexpectedly from an automobile accident.

Eric was born on Wednesday, August 16, 1986, in Monticello, Indiana to Bradley O’Farrell and Mollie (Roberts) Riner.

Eric attended Twin Lakes School Corporation his entire life but graduated from Lafayette Jefferson High School in 2005.

On June 19th, 2010, in Shandon, OH he married the love of his life, Rebecca Korb. She survives.

Eric attended Purdue University and received a BS in Agricultural Systems Management, a Minor in Farm Management, and an Associate's Degree in Agronomy as well as Ag Economics. While at Purdue, Eric could have graduated in three years, but decided to stay another year to gain more knowledge and build more relationships. Among the close friends he acquired, he also met his future wife, Becky, in their Entomology lecture in 2007. After graduation, he managed the family farm, alongside mentor and Uncle Brent, and did so until his passing. Eric was one who valued those in his inner circle but loved being home with his family most of all. He loved riding dirt bikes with the kids, sending pictures to his farming friends group chats, playing catch with baseballs/softballs, shooting targets, being the class clown along with Henry while playing “school” with Miss O’Farrell (Cora), spending weekends catching up with Grandma O’Farrell, making detailed lists, traveling the world on various family vacations, or just spending time playing in the shop. Those who knew him were in awe of his organizational skills and his focus on having a clean and structured workspace. Eric was a loving, attentive man who always found joy and laughter in all aspects, and truly lived his best life.

Eric is survived by his wife, Rebecca (Korb) O’Farrell and beloved children, Henry and Cora; cherished grandmother Marilyn O’Farrell;  mother Mollie (Jack) Riner; sisters Shannon O’Farrell, Erin (Jeffrey) Warren; brother Riley (Reem) O’Farrell; step-sisters Kylie (Ben) Beutler, Kinsey (daughter Avery) Coble; mother and father-in-law Lynn and Jeffrey Korb; brother-in-law Andrew (Jessica) Korb; sisters-in-law Elizabeth (Brian) Munchel, Allison (Andrew) Sacksteder; paternal uncles, Brent (Julie) and Michael (Cathy) O’Farrell; nieces and nephews, Levi Heidrich, Madison (partner Ryan Emmons) Heidrich, Julia Riner, Jaden O’Farrell, Amelia Munchel, Samuel Heidrich, Leo Munchel, Emma Sacksteder, Logan Korb, Landen Korb, Kennedy Sacksteder; cousins, Jeff (partner Amanda Logsdon) O’Farrell, Michelle (Chad) Henricks, Jessie (partner Michael York) O’Farrell, Tristan (Ashlei) Jones, Cameron O'Farrell, Carson O'Farrell, Brooklyn Dillinger, Emma Henricks, and Gavin Henricks; grandparents-in-law Anna Korb and Beverly Farst; maternal grandparents, Vernon and Donna Roberts; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
