Born on July 9, 1933, to Henry Everett and Mary Christina (Fenwick) Ferrell, Frances lived a life full of love and dedication to her family.

She married John J. Polen on June 19, 1954, in Paducah, KY, and together they shared many wonderful years until his passing on September 21, 1990.

Throughout her life, Frances worked at the Colonial Inn, served as a teacher's aide at Kentland Grade School, and was employed at Murphy’s Food King. She found joy in working in her yard, tending to her flowers, attending her grandchildren's sporting events, and playing Bingo and Yahtzee.

Frances is survived by her children, Vicki A. (Van) Carlson of Morocco, Deborah L. Morgan of Kentland, Christina M. (Steven) Green of Rensselaer, Natalie F. (Gordon) Gulliford of Wolcott, and Kelly J. (Tamala) Polen of Goodland. She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, her son John Thomas Polen, son-in-law Stephen Morgan, and three brothers.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM (CST) until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM (CST) on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at St. Joseph Catholic Church of Kentland, with a Rosary beginning at 9:45 AM (CST).
