George Cleefman Jr., 70, of Reynolds, passed away surrounded by family at his home on Wednesday, April 21, 2021.
He was born February 18, 1951 in Lafayette, IN at St. Elizabeth Hospital to the late George A. Cleefman Sr. and Elizabeth “Betty” (Akers) Cleefman. George was a 1969 graduate of North White High School and attended Purdue University.
His marriage was to Renee Moore on May 9, 1978 in Monon; she survives. George was a lifelong farmer in White County and enjoyed deer and coyote hunting. George also had a passion for antique tractors.
Surviving along with his wife of 42 years are their children, Kian (Brian Weigand) Cleefman of Frankfort, Christopher (Brook) Cleefman of Rensselaer, Chad Cleefman of Reynolds and Carie (Adam) Connell of Reynolds. Sisters, Jane (Dean) DeVoe, and Virginia “Susie” Peck both of Monticello. Also surviving are 21 grandchildren whom he adored.
Friends may call from 4-8 PM (EDT) Monday, April 26, 2021 at Clapper Family Funeral Home of Monon. Funeral Service 11 AM (EDT) with an hour prior visitation Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at the Reynolds Elementary School (317 W. 2nd St. Reynolds, IN). Rev. Andrew Keller to officiate. Interment to follow in St. James Lutheran Cemetery.
