Helen M. Lemna, 86, of Kentland, passed away peacefully surrounded by family Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at her home.
She was born March 11, 1933 in Nome, North Dakota to the late Carl and Christine (Solie) Peterson. Helen came from a family of 13 children. Her marriage was to Kenneth “Bud” Lemna on November 6, 1954 in Enderline, ND. Bud preceded her in death on July 19, 2003.
Helen enjoyed Polka dancing in her younger years, playing cards with friends and family, watching basketball, fishing from the shores, bird watching, and loved raising their 3 boys.
Surviving are sons, Brian Lemna of New York City, NY, Bradley Lemna of Kentland, and Keith Lemna of Saint Meinrad, IN. Also surviving are several siblings.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Friends may call from 10 AM (CST) until the time of Funeral Service 11 AM (CST) Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at Stitz-Clapper Funeral Home of Kentland. Fr. Robert Bernotas to officiate. Interment to follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery of Kentland.
